2013 COLLINGWOOD ELVIS FESTIVAL COMPETITION RESULTS
Congratulations to ALL our winners!
A unique situation resulted this year and has become a historic moment in our Competition history.
JESSE ARON was not only crowned as the Professional Grand Champion Concert Years but also had the overall highest score in the competition. However, under Elvis Presley Enterprises rules and regulations for the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest and these are not stated “verbatim”, the following applies:
1.If the overall highest score winner has already qualified in another Preliminary location, he must forfeit the representative position to the next overall highest score but may retain the official CHAMPION title won under the local rules for that specific qualifying location.
2. There is NO specific rule stating that the Ultimate qualifier must be PROFESSIONAL. It is according to the local qualifying location’s rules and regulations.
3. In the case of a tie, vocal score will be the determining factor…..
In following those rules, the situation resulted as described below:
JESSE ARON, had the highest score in his Category and Division and was therefore declared the winner of the PROFESSIONAL CONCERT YEARS for 2013.
JESSE ARON, also had the highest overall score however Jesse had pre-qualified in Lake George Elvis Festival and therefore EPE Rule #1 was applied and Jesse had to forfeit that representative position but retains the title of COLLINGWOOD ELVIS FESTIVAL PROFESSIONAL GRAND CHAMPION, CONCERT YEARS.
Consequently in accordance with Rule #2, when reviewing the score sheets there was a tie for 2nd highest score between BRUNO NESCI (Professional) and RICHARD WOLFE (Non-Professional) so we moved on to Rule #3 to declare a winner and RICHARD WOLFE had a higher overall “vocal” score and therefore was declared the alternate “Overall Highest Score” winner to represent the Collingwood Elvis Festival in Memphis, TN.
So please congratulate JESSE ARON, our Professional Grand Champion & Lake George Ultimate Representative, and RICHARD WOLFE on this historic accomplishment and wish him well to represent our Festival in Memphis this month.
