Information for Tribute Artists
Please Read Carefully!

What your registration fee includes
Tickets
  • Each Tribute Artist will receive one complimentary “T.A.” ticket to ONE Saturday and ONE Sunday performance in their Tribute Artist package upon arrival. Show choice is yours. This ticket is for the Tribute Artist’s use only!
  • A Guest/Spouse will also receive one complimentary “Guest” ticket, to the same Saturday and Sunday performances if they wish to sit with you. Should you require additional “Guest” seating for children, please indicate EXACTLY how many you will need as we are under STRICT CAPACITY regulations inside the Arena.
  • Additional guests and/or spouses wanting better quality seats will have to pay full price according to seating selected. A separate section of seating will be corded off specifically for the Tribute Artist & one Guest in the Green or Blue Bleacher sections only. Additional guests will be in regular colour coded “reserve” seats, if purchased. If the Tribute Artist requires seating upgrades they will be required to pay the “full regular price” for the seats they require including for themselves if they also wish reserve assigned seats. There will be no exceptions.
  • Tickets will then be included in your Tribute Artist package upon arrival.

Tribute Artist Performance Certificates
  • We will award to each Tribute Artist a performance certificate which we have specially designed to reflect the Festival’s theme. Whether you are a Competitor in any division or a Non-Competitor, everyone will receive a Performance Certificate! You will receive your certificate in your Arrival package or in the mail shortly after the Festival weekend.

Competition Winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd):
  • Winners from each category/division will receive a performance award/trophy. You will receive your award on stage on Sunday evening. Please note, we will not mail or ship these trophies. You must be in attendance to receive the award.

Dinner Host Coupons
  • Each participating Tribute Artist will receive one $25 meal coupon for Saturday and Sunday night. These coupons can be used at the participating Dinner Hosts printed on the reverse side of the coupon.
  • The $25 can only be applied to the meal selections for the Tribute Artist themselves. All other family members or guests must pay full price for their own meals. The coupons can not be used for alcoholic beverages and only one coupon per Tribute Artist will be honoured so you can not collect extras from your friends who do not intend to use theirs. THERE IS NO CASH SURRENDER VALUE FOR THESE COUPONS. Each coupon is only redeemable for the specified date on the face of the coupon.

Host Hotel Discount Rate
  • Our Host Hotel for 2006 is Blue Mountain Resort. Their phone number is (705) 445-0231. You must present them with the Group Name & code which will indicate that you are registered with our office before booking your room. This special rate will only be offered on YOUR room and does not apply to additional rooms for family or friends.
Hotel Rates:
  • Blue Mountain Inn - Standard Hotel Room $120.00
  • Village at Blue - > Studio $149.00; > Bachelor $169.00
  • Village and Blue Mountain Condos->1Bdrm $189.00; >2Bdrm $249.00 >3Bdrm $369.00
  • Rates are per night plus 12% tax with a Minimum 2 night stay
  • There is a block of 50 rooms held until June 21, 2006.
  • Reservations made after June 21st will be based on general availability.
  • Check In: 4pm > Check Out 11am > There are no pets allowed in the hotel or condominiums.

Souvenir Program:
  • You will receive one (1) complimentary Souvenir Program in your Arrival Package.

Judging Criteria
  • Appearance - proper costume and look, including matching the depicted era;
  • Showmanship - use of the stage, runway and personality to enhance your performance;
  • Performance Material - songs are performed correctly, with respect to timing, words and melody;
  • Authenticity of Presentation - ability to match Elvis’ performances, movements etc.;
  • Vocal Ability - ability to provide the tone, pitch and quality of Elvis’ voice.

You will be judged strictly on the criteria listed above.

Each Performer is required to “play” the entire stage and runway. Judges will be instructed to pay particular attention to how each Tribute Artist makes use of the stage area and facing each direction equally for the audience’s enjoyment from any type of seating. You will benefit in your performance, both in Showmanship and Presentation, if you work the crowd accordingly.

Prize Structure
This year there will be two (2) ADULT competition categories; Early Years (50’s & 60’s performances and costumes including Black Leather, Sport Coat, Movies, Gold Lame etc.); and Concert/Vegas Era (strictly Jumpsuit era performances). We will offer two (2) divisions in each category, Professional & Non-Professional, and the prize structures for the divisions are as follows:
Professional Non-Professional
1st Place: $1600.00 1st Place: $1100.00
2nd Place: $1100.00 2nd Place: $850.00
3rd Place: $850.00 3rd Place: $600.00
The YOUTH DIVISION stands alone. Each Youth competitor can perform any era he/she wishes to do. There are two (2) divisions, Junior (3 yrs. To 9 yrs.),& Senior (10 yrs. To 16 yrs.) The prize structure is as follows:
Junior Senior
1st Place: $125.00 1st Place: $250.00
2nd Place: $100.00 2nd Place: $150.00
3rd Place: $75.00 3rd Place: $100.00
The Non-Competition category is not eligible to win prize monies or to have their performances judged.
