Welcome First Time Visitors

It may be the largest of its kind, but it’s also a friendly place with a real sense of community. That’s the beauty of the Collingwood Elvis Festival! Anyone who attends can let loose, release their inner Elvis and feel a little bit like The King.

This year’s theme is “This is Elvis”. It’s a chance to learn about the man his music, his attitude and his iconic image. You’ll find out what made Elvis a pop culture giant and how he continues to influence music and culture even today.

First Timer Welcome

We invite you to join us for a special ‘First-Timer Welcome’ meet and greet with Tribute Artists, a welcome from the Festival Manager, and special ‘First-Timer’ swag to welcome you to our festival family.

Ticket Packages

This year we’re offering ticket packages to make it easier for you to experience the best of the Collingwood Elvis Festival. You can choose from a ‘Sampler’ pack (tickets to see a little bit of everything) ‘Dance the Nights Away’ pack (tickets to each of the popular dances) or the ‘Competition’ pack (tickets to all competition shows) or choose “The Full Experience” con (tickets to all Arena shows). Stay tuned for more information on this great new way to enjoy the Festival. You can also book tickets to individual shows.

Parking

With almost 30,000 attendees, finding parking can be challenging. In 2015, you can save yourself the hassle, and take one of our shuttles. An Elvis Tribute Artist will entertain you with songs, the inside scoop on the Festival, and information on all the Collingwood sights. Come è il vincitore Concorso selezionato?

How are the Judges chosen?

Judges are selected based on their level of Elvis experience including choreography, musical knowledge, judging experience, personal Elvis experience (seen him in concert, worked with him etc.), extent of overall Elvis career knowledge and commitment to confidentiality and ability to complete all duties.

What is the judging criteria for competitors?

We have five judging criteria on our Collingwood Elvis Festival score sheets including Vocals out of 15 points; Performance out of 10; Stage Presence/Showmanship out of 10 points; Appearance out of 10 and Overall Tribute to Elvis/Authenticity out of 10. In the case of a tie, vocal score will be the determining factor. If a tie still remains, we compare the scores in each category until we can determine a winner. The score sheet used in the Grand Finals is the official score sheet from Elvis Presley Enterprises.

Can I purchase Elvis memorabilia at the Festival?

Absolutely! We’ve got a great selection of vendors offering Elvis memorabilia, as well as 50’s and 60’s items.

What are the dates for next year’s Festival?

The 2015 Collingwood Elvis Festival will be held Thursday, Luglio 23 to Sunday, Luglio 26.

How to get here

The Town of Collingwood is ideally situated along the picturesque shoreline of Nottawasaga Bay in the heart of Ontario’s finest four-season destination area, in the northwest corner of the County of Simcoe.
From Toronto

Highway 400 northbound will get you to Barrie, and from there, take the Bayfield Street exit, following the signs to Highway 26 West, and into Stayner. At the main intersection in Stayner, head north on 26, and you’ll find your way right into the heart of Collingwood.

From Barrie

If you’re looking for a more scenic route, take County Road 90 West to Angus, and head north on County Road 10/Brentwood Road. Once you reach Sunnidale Corners, you’ll join up with Highway 26, head west into Stayner, then follow Highway 26 north from the main intersection, right into Collingwood.

From Orillia

Take Highway 12 West to County Road 22, then continue west along Horseshoe Valley Road until it ends at Highway 26. Take Highway 26 West into Stayner. At the main intersection in Stayner, head north on 26, and you’ll find your way right into the heart of Collingwood.

From Owen Sound

Take Highway 26 East through Meaford, and right into Collingwood.

Avoiding Hwy 400

If you’re heading to Collingwood from the GTA, and you’d like to avoid Highway 400, there are a number of alternate routes you can check out.
The Gore Road (County Road 8) and Dixie Road (County Road 4/12/7) will both take you north to Highway 9, where you can join Airport Road just east of Orangeville. Going north on Airport Road will take you right into the main intersection of Stayner, where you can continue north on Highway 26 into Collingwood.
You can also head west on Highway 89 and join up with Airport Road just west of Rosemont, and head north into the main intersection of Stayner, where you can continue north on Highway 26 into Collingwood. Keep in mind there are a number of other festivals taking place in Simcoe County this weekend, and area roads may be busy.

Roundabouts

Highway 26 has several roundabouts in the Collingwood area. A roundabout is a circular intersection where two or more roads meet. Traffic circulates through them counter-clockwise, to the right of a centre island. All entering vehicles must yield to traffic already in the roundabout. Accessible Shuttle Service:

The Town of Collingwood’s Accessible Shuttle Service is now run under a new operation contract by Sinton Transportation. Hours of service are: 8:00 a.m. - midnight, seven (7) days a week. Users are no longer required to pre book the service from 6:00 p.m. - midnight. Rates will continue to run on a meter, as governed by the Town of Collingwood. All fares are to have a start or end destination in the Town of Collingwood.

Colltrans Public Transit
