Memphis Jones is known around the world for his ever-growing knowledge of Memphis music, and for his passion to share that music and history with music lovers both near and far. Whether he is performing for international audiences at the legendary BB King’s Blues Club on Beale Street, or chatting up Lisa Marie Presley on camera at Graceland, his intent remains the same: present the world with an unforgettable moment where the boundaries between music and audience disappear. He says, “We all carry tunes and lyrics with us from day to day- that music becomes the soundtrack to our lives. Many of our memories are entirely infused with it. I propose to people from all corners of the Earth that most of that music comes from Memphis, in one way or another.”
Memphis is a highly sought-after entertainer, speaker, musician, and historian in his namesake and hometown of Memphis, Tennessee as well as being a seasoned journeyman, touring with his gospel band ALTERED and performing his All Memphis Music Review from coast to coast. Along with regular guest appearances on XM’s Elvis Radio, he’s been the online host for Elvis.com during Elvis Week, entertained tens of thousands of visitors to Memphis on Beale Street, and is a dedicated pupil to the legend and lore of the greatest Music town on the planet, Memphis TN.
