The
year was 1968. Awestruck audiences watched as a dynamic Elvis Presley â performed
live on TV for the first time since the 1960 Sinatra show. Elvis â,
who had been isolated from his public following a long stint on the

in Las Vegas.
Now, audiences in Collingwood, Ontario will be able to experience
first-hand the thrill of the ’68 Comeback Special, as premier

that landmark broadcast. The multi-media event at the Eddie Bush
Memorial Arena is one of the weekend highlights of the 2005 Collingwood
Elvis â Festival, now entering its 11 th year.
Featuring music from the ’68 television special, the three
tribute artists will be backed by the Collingwood Elvis Festival’s
renowned live band. The show follows Elvis’ â early influences
and hints at the direction that his music would ultimately lead.
