Collingwood Elvis Festival showcases the World at its Vegas style Shows

Collingwood, ON – The 18th Annual Collingwood Elvis Festival, the largest of its kind in the world, takes place from July 26 to July 26, 2012. The theme is “Elvis Worldwide” and will feature special guests and Tribute champions from around the globe. Some of the most memorable highlights of the weekend are the Vegas style shows featuring performances and competitors in concert. Here are just a few highlights of the line up as we celebrate the impact of Elvis Presley on the world….

SUPREME ELVIS
SATURDAY, JULY 28TH, 1 pm – 3:30 pm
Come out and enjoy the ‘Supreme’ Elvis stylings of the “The Voice of Elvis” Doug Church, “the Las Vegas Sensation” Donny Edwards, our own two time Collingwood Grand Champion, Pete Paquette with a Special Guest appearance by 2010 Memphis Ultimate Champion Justin Shandor.

ELVIS WORLDWIDE
SATURDAY, JULY 28TH, 8 pm – 10:30 pm
Elvis is recognized and respected all around the world! This is your opportunity to experience fantastic Elvis Champions from Canada, United States, and the United Kingdom as they perform their tribute to Elvis’ outstanding career and performances. This not to be missed show features 2009 Memphis Ultimate Champion Bill Cherry and current Ultimate Champion Cody Ray Slaughter, together with Collingwood Grand Champions Pete Storm returning from the United Kingdom and our own pride of the province James Gibb. Special Guest appearance by 2010 Ultimate Champion Justin Shandor.

INSPIRATIONAL ELVIS
SUNDAY, JULY 29TH, 1 pm to 3:30 pm
Featuring sixteen “Invitation Only” competitors including Norm Ackland, Jr., John Cigan, Stephen Goodberry, Wayne Curtis, Gary Elvis, Wayne Junior, Brent Morrey, Kevin Bezaire, Bruno Nesci, Davey Kratz, Bruce Andrew Stewart, Anthony Carbone, Doug McKenzie, Corny Rempel, Thane Dunn, and Robert Pooran, with a Special Guest appearance by “The Voice of Elvis” Doug Church. Hosted by the 2011 Inspirational Elvis Gospel Champion Daylin James featuring our incredible Festival Houseband, Marco Spadafora & The Casino Brothers. A show not to be missed!

THE GRAND FINALS
SUNDAY, JULY 29TH, 6 pm to 10:30 pm
A sell out event where we crown our 2012 Grand Champions and select our overall highest scoring Champion to represent the Collingwood Elvis Festival in the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest in Memphis, TN, in August.
