Town partners with Theatre Collingwood’s Box Office

Collingwood, ON [17 February 2017] – The Town of Collingwood has partnered with Theatre Collingwood’s Box Office to provide ticketing and front of house services for Town events, including the Collingwood Elvis Festival.

With Council direction to re-focus the Elvis Festival as an economic impact driver, Town staff have been exploring opportunities to pursue local business partnerships to deliver certain services while maintaining a cost-effective event. Recognizing the excellent Box Office services that Theatre Collingwood already manages for its own clientele, the Elvis Festival and other Town events requiring ticket sales will benefit from the convenient nearby location of the Box Office that has the ability to serve the out-of-town market through phone sales and on-line ticketing.

Theatre Collingwood will also provide front of house services for the concerts at the Eddie Bush Memorial Arena with their volunteers handling ticket-taker and usher duties.

“As a not-for-profit theatre company with charitable status, we are always seeking new revenue sources so that we can continue to provide high-quality performing arts experiences for the community of Collingwood,” says Erica Angus, Executive Director for Theatre Collingwood. “This partnership with the Town, while stretching our capacities with the size and scale of Box Office services required, is a great opportunity to show what we can do, and to share our excellent customer service with a larger community.”

Tickets for the Collingwood Elvis Festival shows, inside the Eddie Bush Memorial Arena, will go on sale to the general public on Monday, February 20th at 10:00 a.m.
To order, visit www.collingwoodelvisfestival.com or call 705-445-2200.

“Utilizing the outstanding services of Theatre Collingwood puts a very personal touch on this festival necessity, supports the charity that provides so many cultural experiences to residents and visitors alike, and allows us to ensure that the fees associated with ticket sales stay within the community,” says Dean Collver, Director of Parks, Recreation, and Culture.

The 23rd edition of the Elvis Festival takes place in Downtown Collingwood, July 28-30, 2017.
